Hello all,
Our next clean up will be on March 29th at 10am, meeting at the Workman’s Club on Emmet Road.
As usual we supply pickers, bags and gloves but if you have your own gloves bring them along.
We’ll be doing a clean up but also refreshing some of our flower beds that we planted last year.
In case you are ever wondering whether any of this has an effect, hopefully the following news will help:
Dublin City Council informed us earlier this month that they are allocating an extra 10,000 euro from their general funding pool to spend on cleaning up Inchicore. The decision to allocate these funds is a direct result of the efforts of Inchicore Environmental Group and will be spent over the coming months on chewing gum removal, power washing the footpaths etc. in the main village area.
On March 11th, the Inchicore Environmental Group got the great news from City Council that they have allocated an additional €10,000 from their general funding pool to spend on cleaning up Inchicore. The decision to allocate these funds is a direct result of the efforts of Inchicore Environmental Group and will be spent over the coming months on chewing gum removal, power washing the footpaths etc. in the main village area.
It is great to get this recognition for our regular effort and serves as further inspiration to keep going, come rain or shine!
Thanks so much for your continued support both the people who turn up for the cleanups and those who offer encouragement and advice.
See you all at the next clean-up on 29 March!

This is the pile of rubbish which the group managed to collect during our clean up of the canal on Saturday February 23rd. Well done to the group for a great clean up!
The group are organising a clean up as part of National Spring Clean on Saturday April 6th, more on that shortly.
The Inchicore Environmental Group is moving ahead with monthly clean up’s of the area. These clean up’s will be scheduled for the last Saturday of every month.
The next clean up will be held on Saturday February 23rd from 11am until 12.30pm. The clean up will focus on the canal between Suir Road and Blackhorse Bridge.
The group will meet at 11am at the Bulfin Estate Residents Associations Hall (BERA) which is the brown building on the canal.
We encourage anyone who would be interested in helping out to come along on the day.
